Authorities conduct operations against illegal gambling machines in Honduras and Dominican Republic
In Honduras, the Public Ministry has intervened in a commercial establishment in Tegucigalpa following reports of fraudulent slot machines. The investigation aims to clarify irregularities and determine legal responsibilities. This follows a similar 2024 operation where authorities seized accounting books and materials from gambling businesses in the capital.
In the Dominican Republic, the San Cristóbal Prosecutor's Office and the National Police destroyed over 300 seized slot machines in the Canastica sector market. The machines were confiscated for violating laws governing gambling operations. The destruction was led by Prosecutor Ramona Santana Uceta and supported by regional police leadership to ensure compliance with legal protocols regarding illicit goods.
