Authorities coordinate security for La Serena vs. Universidad de Chile match

Authorities have begun coordinating security measures for the upcoming football match between Club Deportes La Serena and Universidad de Chile, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, at Estadio La Portada.

A delegation led by Regional Presidential Delegate Víctor Pino visited the stadium to inspect site conditions and define safety protocols. The visit included representatives from Carabineros, municipal officials, and Club Deportes La Serena.

Carabineros identified necessary improvements, specifically regarding surveillance camera upgrades and perimeter cleaning. The Presidential Delegate noted that certain observations must be addressed promptly by the club to secure official authorization for the match. Milko Leguás, President of Club Deportes La Serena, stated that the club is working to reinforce security and address these requirements to ensure fan safety.
