Authorities investigate child endangerment and assault cases in Bolivia and Peru

Authorities in Sucre, Bolivia, have filed a criminal complaint following the circulation of a video showing adults exposing minors to risk. The video reportedly depicts two women, appearing to be intoxicated, inciting children to consume alcohol in public during late-night hours. The Secretariat of Human and Social Development, through the Office for the Defense of Children and Adolescents, is working to identify those involved. During initial investigations, authorities located four minors living on the streets.

In Talara, Peru, the Provincial Prosecutor's Office and police are investigating an alleged sexual assault against a female student at a state school. The incident reportedly occurred on October 7 during a school break in a secondary classroom. According to the complaint, two students allegedly deceived the victim to keep her in the room, allowing other students to enter and participate in the aggression. The Prosecutor's Office has activated protection protocols and ordered medical and psychological evaluations for the minor.
