Authorities investigate multiple deaths in Nuevo Laredo and Piedras Negras

Authorities in northern Mexico are investigating separate incidents involving the deaths of four individuals in Nuevo Laredo and Piedras Negras. In Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, two people died due to complications from chronic illnesses. An 86-year-old man with hypertension passed away after fainting at his home, and a 54-year-old woman with diabetes and hypertension died following chest pains. Investigators found no signs of violence in either case.

In Piedras Negras, Coahuila, two other individuals were found dead in separate locations. An 89-year-old woman was discovered unresponsive in a yard, and a 62-year-old man was found unconscious on a plaza bench. While no obvious signs of violence were observed, authorities are investigating whether extreme temperatures or heatstroke may have contributed to these deaths. Forensic autopsies are pending to determine the exact causes of death in both cities.
