Authorities investigate two separate deaths in Mexico

Authorities in Mexico are investigating two separate incidents involving deceased individuals. In Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, a man's body was discovered by a municipal cleaning worker under a bridge near a Walmart in the El Tezal neighborhood. The State Attorney General's Office (PGJE) reported that initial inspections showed no visible signs of violence on the body or at the scene. The identity of the man remains unknown, and forensic specialists are conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

In Gómez Palacio, Durango, authorities are investigating the violent death of a newborn baby found in the San Ignacio neighborhood. Forensic studies determined the infant died from injuries caused by a sharp object, ruling out natural causes. A 17-year-old female, suspected to be the mother, was detained after seeking medical attention at an IMSS clinic and claiming she had suffered a spontaneous abortion. She has been placed under the custody of a specialized prosecutor for juvenile offenses.
