Authorities rescue children in separate incidents in Ecuador and Venezuela

In Quito, Ecuador, a young girl was located safely after being missing for approximately three hours. The child was found in the Carapungo sector during a routine patrol at Parque de la Juventud. Authorities, including municipal officials and the National Police, responded after a citizen reported seeing a child at a local establishment. The girl, who was without shoes, had left her home intending to find her mother at work. After being located, officials escorted her on foot to her residence to ensure her safety.

In Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, a 12-year-old boy was rescued after being held captive under death threats by a 73-year-old relative. The incident occurred in the El Caimito urbanization, where the suspect used a knife to threaten the child while locking him in a room. Local protection council officials and the National Bolivarian Police mediated the rescue. The child was taken to a health center and is reported to be out of danger, while the suspect remains in police custody.
