Authorities search for two missing persons in Brazil

Authorities in Brazil are conducting separate search operations for two missing individuals in the states of Pará and Maranhão.

In Marituba, within the Belém metropolitan area, the Civil Police are tracking the location of 78-year-old Hamilton Moreira Filho. After disappearing in Belém on Friday, the elderly man sent a message requesting help, appearing confused. Police have used cell phone tracking to narrow the search to the municipality of Marituba.

In a separate case, searches continue for 21-year-old Alberto Filho, who has been missing since September 26. He disappeared while traveling from Parauapebas toward Marabá on a white Honda Pop 110 motorcycle. Family members and a search team have combed the area between Curionópolis and Serra Pelada, including roadside vegetation and bridges, but have yet to find any traces of the young man or his vehicle. The family is now requesting access to surveillance camera footage from local authorities to determine his last known direction.
