Authorities seize non-compliant fuel and illegal gambling devices in Trapani
Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) officials conducted a three-day inspection operation in the province of Trapani, Italy, targeting fuel sectors, public gaming, and retail outlets. The investigation resulted in the administrative seizure of over 20,000 liters of non-compliant diesel.
Authorities found that the seized diesel had a flash point below the legally required values. Investigators are looking into whether the fuel was illicitly mixed with solvents or other chemicals to increase volume, a practice that could damage vehicles and reduce tax revenue.
Additionally, inspectors identified and seized a chewing gum vending machine that had been illegally modified to facilitate gambling.
