In Malargüe, Argentina, local police and bromatology inspectors seized over 41 kilograms of spoiled meat from a commercial establishment. The confiscated items included frozen pork and beef scraps, fish medallions, pork burgers, ground beef, beef liver, and various offal. Authorities determined the products posed a public health risk and transported them to a sanitary facility for destruction.
In Tortosa, Spain, a joint operation involving the Civil Guard, National Police, Mossos d’Esquadra, and local police resulted in the seizure of 2,300 kilograms of food unfit for human consumption. The investigation, which originated from a probe into illegal imports from outside the EU, uncovered expired products and items lacking mandatory sanitary certificates or proper refrigeration. Additionally, authorities seized over 200 irregular cosmetic and sanitary products. The operation led to 21 reports regarding sanitary infractions, smuggling, and labor law violations, with one individual under investigation for alleged document falsification.
