Eight‑year‑old Osman, who has autism spectrum disorder, and his mother wrote to the Presidential Communication Center (CİMER) asking for a chance to see the Marmaray driver cabin because he memorises stations and loves trains.

The Marmaray Passenger Service Directorate organized a special program at Halkalı station in Istanbul, gave Osman a tour of the station and a short ride on the Halkalı‑Yeşilköy line, let him enter the vatman cabin, sit in the driver’s seat and learn how the train is operated. He received a gift set of train models and toys. The event was reported by Turkish media.
