Auto Europa 2027: Seven finalists announced for automotive award

The Unione dei Giornalisti Italiani dell’Automotive (UIGA) has announced the seven finalists for the Auto Europa 2027 award. The selection highlights the European automotive industry's transition toward electrification and digitalization, featuring models ranging from hybrids to full-electric vehicles.

All finalists are produced within Europe, including the Hyundai Ioniq 3, which is manufactured in Turkey. This inclusion underscores Europe's continued role as a significant manufacturing platform despite global competition and industrial challenges. Notable finalists include the Alpine A390, an electric fastback with up to 470 CV; the BMW iX3, utilizing an 800-volt architecture; the Volvo EX60 premium SUV; and the Lancia Gamma crossover.

The winner will be announced on October 27 in Milan. In addition to an expert jury, the public can participate in the selection process through an official online vote.
