Autocine UFMS returns to cultural programming in 2026

The Autocine UFMS is returning to cultural activity as part of the 2026 Mais Cultura Festival. After being largely inactive since 1989, the space has been revitalized through federal investment and partnerships with various state and local entities, including the Government of Mato Grosso do Sul, Sebrae, and Sesc.

Following public consultations where over 93% of participants expressed interest in cinema, audiovisual arts, and music, the space is being adapted to meet modern societal needs. UFMS Rector Camila Ítavo stated that the revitalized venue aims to serve as a center for inspiration, entertainment, and cultural experiences.
