Autodesk unveils agentic AI for its three industry clouds

At the Autodesk University 2026 conference in Las Vegas, Autodesk unveiled a new vision for “project intelligence” centered on agentic AI. The company is expanding its Autodesk Assistant from a simple chatbot into a holistic agent that operates across its three primary industry clouds: Autodesk Forma (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), Autodesk Fusion (Design and Manufacturing), and Autodesk Flow (Media and Entertainment).

This next-generation AI experience is designed to understand broader project contexts rather than just individual user prompts. By connecting data across products, the system aims to help professionals manage complex workflows, such as automating assembly in Fusion or generating building layouts in Forma. Autodesk also confirmed that Forma is intended to eventually replace Revit as the primary platform for AEC workflows, with Revit transitioning into a “Forma Connected Client.”

To build user trust, Autodesk introduced revamped AI Transparency Cards to provide clarity on AI processes. While many AI features are currently available within existing tools, the company plans to launch a standalone agentic experience in 2027.
