Autohaus König begins vehicle deliveries amid insolvency proceedings
Autohaus König, currently undergoing preliminary insolvency proceedings, has announced that approximately 1,100 vehicles and scooters are scheduled for delivery in the coming days. This move is intended to provide relief to customers following the company's insolvency filing.
Preliminary insolvency administrator Rainer Eckert stated that while these initial deliveries are a significant step, the status of other purchase contracts remains under review. Each remaining contract will be assessed individually to determine if and when a vehicle can be handed over. The company is also initiating a sale of its existing stock while seeking potential investors to restructure the business and secure jobs and locations.
Negotiations are reportedly underway with manufacturers Stellantis and Renault to support the restructuring process. The company aims to continue business operations across all locations and is providing updates via a dedicated FAQ page for affected customers.
