Automakers evaluate SUV competition amid electric vehicle growth
Automakers are navigating a competitive landscape as the industry shifts toward electrification. During a recent evaluation of 36 new car models in Denmark, the majority of vehicles tested were either pure electric or hybrid models, reflecting a global trend where the share of gasoline and diesel vehicles is decreasing.
While markets in Norway and Denmark have reached near-total electrification, other regions are progressing more slowly. Manufacturers are currently managing parallel development tracks, offering both new electric models and various hybrid configurations to balance investments in legacy internal combustion technology with the necessary transition to new electric motor and battery technology.
