In the South American market, Volkswagen is expanding its presence with the upcoming Tukan pickup, scheduled for release in Brazil during the first half of 2027. The Tukan will be the first Volkswagen pickup developed globally on the MQB platform, which has been modified with an extended wheelbase and leaf spring rear suspension to handle heavier loads. The lineup will include the single-cab Tukan Robust for work and the double-cab Tukan Extreme for versatile use.
