Automakers in Vietnam launch sales incentives and fuel support
The Vietnamese automotive market is seeing intensified competition as manufacturers launch various incentive programs to boost year-end sales.
Omoda & Jaecoo are offering promotions on several SUV models, including gasoline, hybrid, and electric versions. Incentives include fuel support for up to 8 years for certain hybrid models, interest rate support of 8% for the first 12 months, and gift packages valued at up to 45 million VND for specific electric SUV models.
Skoda Vietnam is implementing a program that covers 100% of registration fees for most of its current lineup. This support, which can be converted to cash and deducted from the selling price, offers significant savings. The Skoda Kodiaq receives the highest discount, with reductions between 130 million and 150 million VND depending on the version. Other models like the Octavia, Karoq, and Slavia are also receiving substantial price supports.
Amidst these promotions and increased availability of high-ratio bank loans—sometimes covering up to 100% of a vehicle's value—financial experts advise first-time buyers to carefully consider long-term debt obligations and total ownership costs beyond the initial monthly installment.
