Automation in Poland fails to resolve labor shortages
While 92% of Polish companies have implemented at least one element of automation, technology has not yet resolved the country's labor shortages. According to observations from the recruitment agency Job Impulse, automation in Polish warehouses and factories is currently evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Companies are gradually integrating solutions to improve specific processes, but this has not led to a significant reduction in the demand for workers.
In fact, recruitment inquiries in the production and logistics sectors remain very high. Instead of replacing staff, technology is primarily being used to support employees and increase operational efficiency. This trend is occurring alongside a shrinking pool of foreign labor, as the number of work visas issued to foreigners has decreased by 87% over the last four years.
To accelerate digital transformation, businesses are utilizing support programs such as the National Recovery Plan and European Funds, including loans specifically for digital and green transformations.
