Automation tools address manual data entry in healthcare
Healthcare organizations are increasingly turning to automation to address the administrative burdens caused by interoperability gaps between electronic health record (EHR) systems. Manual data entry remains a significant challenge in processes such as patient registration, insurance verification, and billing, often requiring staff to manually transfer information between disconnected platforms.
Coronis Health has implemented a strategy using the UiPath platform to manage high-volume medical billing tasks. By utilizing robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent document processing (IDP), and agentic automation, the company processes approximately 100,000 cases per week across 154 electronic medical record systems. This approach aims to automate repetitive digital tasks, allowing human employees to focus on work requiring professional judgment rather than manual data handling.
