Automotive brands in Vietnam adopt Adaptive Cruise Control technology

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is becoming a common feature in modern vehicles, utilizing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to maintain safe distances from preceding vehicles. These systems use radar, cameras, or a combination of sensors to monitor the relative position, distance, and speed differences between vehicles, automatically adjusting speed to maintain a driver-set gap.

In the Vietnamese market, several popular brands offer this technology. Toyota includes it in its Toyota Safety Sense package for models like the Corolla Cross and Camry. Honda provides ACC through its Honda Sensing suite on the City, Civic, HR-V, and CR-V. Subaru integrates it into the EyeSight system for the Forester and Crosstrek. Other manufacturers offering these features include Hyundai (Santa Fe, Palisade), Mazda (CX-5, CX-8), and Ford (Territory, Ranger, Everest).

In the electric vehicle sector, VinFast has equipped the VF 6 Plus and VF 7 Plus with ACC and collision warnings as part of its ADAS offerings. While these technologies provide significant support, experts emphasize that the ultimate responsibility for maintaining safe distances remains with the driver.
