Automotive developments feature custom Fiat 500 and potential Porsche supercar

The automotive industry is seeing developments in both high-end custom restorations and future supercar projects. A specialized project has transformed an abandoned Fiat 500 into the ‘Scattante’, a bespoke restomod priced at approximately 175,000 euros. This version features an 800cc engine derived from a Fiat 126, widened wheel arches, rally-style auxiliary lights, and a refined interior with leather bucket seats.

Separately, reports suggest Porsche is developing a new flagship supercar, internally known as ‘S1’, to fill the void left by the 918 Spyder. Expected to cost around 500,000 euros, the vehicle may feature a proprietary platform rather than architecture shared with Audi or Lamborghini. A significant technical highlight could be the inclusion of an eight-cylinder boxer engine, a configuration Porsche has not yet utilized in a road-legal production vehicle.
