Automotive events draw crowds in Mariánské Lázně and Nový Jičín

Automotive enthusiasts gathered for various motoring events across the Czech Republic. In Mariánské Lázně, the Veolie Golf Cup 2026 featured rallycross racing on a flat track. Organized by Cech sv. Víta, the event saw twenty-three drivers competing in vehicles such as Golfs and Felicias, utilizing modified chassis but maintaining serial engines. The races took place on the grassy inner sections of the track, attracting dozens of spectators.

In the Nový Jičín region, the Svatováclavská jízda vintage vehicle parade took place, traveling through Kunín, Bílovce, Albrechtičky, and Nový Jičín. Organized by the Klub historických vozidel Nový Jičín, the event showcased a wide array of historical vehicles, including American cruisers, classic motorcycles, and cars from the socialist era. Participants often wore period-appropriate clothing to complement the historical display of automotive heritage.
