Automotive events in Argentina highlight vintage classics and electric mobility
Andalgalá is set to host the 6th National Vintage Car Meeting on November 20, 21, and 22. Organized by Guillo Vergara Multimarca with support from the Andalgalá Tourism Secretariat, the event will bring together collectors and enthusiasts from across the country. Participants will tour historical and scenic sites in classic vehicles, often dressed in period-appropriate attire to recreate the era of their automobiles.
Organizers emphasize that the gathering aims to boost local tourism and the economy by increasing demand for accommodation, gastronomy, and local services. Guillermo Acevedo noted that the event serves as a platform to showcase the region's identity and landscapes to national visitors.
In a separate development, the Autoclásica event at the San Isidro Racetrack featured a growing focus on electric mobility. Through a strategic alliance between ETIA and the Automóvil Club Argentino (ACA), the exhibition highlighted the expansion of charging infrastructure across Argentina. The 'Alternative Energies' sector showcased a range of technologies, from early 20th-century electric vehicles to modern plug-in hybrids and fully electric models, demonstrating the coexistence of automotive heritage with evolving propulsion technologies.
