During the Automechanika Frankfurt event in Germany, global automotive industry representatives gathered for the Right to Repair Global (R2R Global) meeting. Organized by FIGIEFA and the Auto Care Association, the forum brought together organizations from Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania to discuss consumer choice, fair competition, and the future of the independent automotive aftermarket (IAM).

The meeting, themed ‘Maintaining Engagement and Momentum’, focused on the impact of new vehicle technologies on independent repair and the progress of national Right to Repair campaigns.

In a related development at the same trade fair, powertrain solutions manufacturer Litens engaged with Brazilian distributors and clients. The company highlighted the growth of the hybrid vehicle fleet in Brazil and the subsequent need for new solutions for electrified propulsion systems, emphasizing its role in developing components for the next generation of hybrid mobility.
