Mini Countryman Electric maintains presence in Australian SUV market

The 2026 Mini Countryman Electric is maintaining steady sales within Australia’s premium small SUV segment. The lineup includes the base E front-wheel drive model and the more premium SE all-wheel drive version.

Recent updates to the Countryman range include the introduction of Euro 6e-compliant powertrains, featuring 48V mild-hybrid technology for the C and S models. The electric variants have also received new silicon carbide (SiC) inverter technology to improve efficiency and range.

While the petrol and electric models have seen changes to pricing and trim availability—such as the removal of the Core trim and the Classic trim—the Countryman remains approximately $10,000 cheaper than the equivalent BMW X1 in the Australian market.
