Automotive market updates: Opel sales and Deepal price cuts in Egypt

The Egyptian automotive market has seen notable activity involving European and electric vehicle brands. The Opel Grandland, distributed by Mansour Automotive, ranked as the third most licensed European model in Egypt during July 2026.

In the electric vehicle sector, Deepal, represented by local agent GP Auto, announced price reductions for several SUV models in August 2026. Discounts of up to 100,000 Egyptian pounds were applied to models including the S05, S07, and G318. Specifically, the Deepal S05 REEV saw a price drop from 1.675 million to 1.599 million pounds, while the fully electric S05 BEV decreased from 1.825 million to 1.750 million pounds.
