Automotive markets in Slovenia and Czechia show growth

Automotive markets in Slovenia and the Czech Republic showed varying trends in vehicle registrations during the first nine months of 2026.

In Slovenia, sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 15.5 percent compared to the previous year, with 5,832 new registrations. In the Czech Republic, overall passenger car registrations rose by 2.4 percent for the first three quarters of 2026. While September saw a 10.6 percent decline in total sales, electric vehicles reached a significant milestone, with their market share exceeding 10 percent for the first time in September. Alternative fuels, including hybrids, now represent 38.58 percent of the market.
