Japanese automotive market anticipates updates for Suzuki Xbee and Toyota Crown
Automotive updates are anticipated for several popular models in the Japanese market. Suzuki's Xbee is expected to undergo minor improvements between late autumn and the end of 2026. Following a major update in October 2025 that introduced a 1.2L engine and CVT, interest is high for new special editions. The ‘Nature Photographer’ concept car shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, featuring a matte blue exterior and topographic graphics, serves as a potential design inspiration for future commercial models.
Meanwhile, Toyota's Crown Estate is projected to receive updates by the end of the year. While the Crown Crossover, Sport, and Sedan models received powertrain enhancements and new grade options in September 2026, the Estate is expected to follow a different path due to its more recent release in March 2025. Predictions suggest Toyota may expand the Estate's lineup by adding more affordable grades, such as a hybrid ‘G’ trim or a less sporty PHEV ‘Z’ trim, to increase consumer accessibility.
