Automotive updates: Kia Telluride hybrid and Sportequipe 7 GTW

The automotive market is seeing new entries in the large SUV segment, focusing on hybrid technology and competitive pricing for seven-passenger vehicles.

Kia has introduced a 2027 hybrid version of the Telluride. This model features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with hybrid components, producing 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Available in EX, SX, and SX Prestige trims, the vehicle offers up to eight seats and features a redesigned interior with synthetic leather upholstery and advanced technological amenities.

In a different segment, DR Automobiles is introducing the Sportequipe 7 GTW, based on the Jetour X70 Plus. Positioned as a more affordable alternative to models like the Volkswagen Tayron and Skoda Kodiaq, it offers a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 185 CV. A dual-fuel LPG option is available, which provides an ‘ECO’ label and lower running costs for high-mileage drivers.
