Automotive updates: Mitsubishi electric SUV and Lexus hybrid editions

New developments in the automotive sector highlight shifts toward electrification and specialized hybrid editions. Mitsubishi has transitioned the Eclipse Cross from a plug-in hybrid to a fully electric SUV. Utilizing technical foundations from the Renault Scenic E-Tech, the new model features an 87 kWh NMC battery. Real-world testing indicates a driving range between 325 and 620 kilometers, with highway consumption measured at approximately 22 kWh per 100 kilometers.

Simultaneously, Lexus has introduced the Kizuna special edition for the UX 300h hybrid SUV. This edition aims to provide premium features at a more competitive price point, including metallic paint as standard. The lineup includes three trim levels: the base Kizuna, the Kizuna Tech featuring a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit, and the Kizuna F, which incorporates F SPORT design elements and a premium 10-speaker audio system.
