Automóvil Club Boliviano launches driver training for women's social reintegration

The Automóvil Club Boliviano (ACB), in coordination with the Servicio Plurinacional de la Mujer y de la Despatriarcalización (SEPMUD), has completed the first stage of a project titled ‘Conduciendo hacia un nuevo destino’. The initiative has provided driving training to eight women who are preparing for their release from incarceration.

ACB General Manager Cristian Zambrana stated that while the technical training is complete, a second stage is required to secure official driving licenses. This next phase involves covering administrative costs, medical examinations, and SEGIP licensing requirements. The ACB is currently seeking private sector allies and institutional partners to help fund these final steps to ensure the participants can achieve full autonomy and labor market integration.
