Autopay study shows Polish consumer caution toward AI in finance

A study by fintech Autopay reveals that while awareness of artificial intelligence in Poland has risen significantly—from 59% in 2023 to 84% in 2026—consumers remain cautious about delegating financial control to algorithms.

Approximately 72% of respondents expressed anxiety regarding software performing autonomous payments on their behalf. Most users demand full oversight and require explicit consent for significant transactions. Furthermore, nearly 60% of those surveyed believe current legal regulations are insufficient to manage these technologies.
