Autopolis to host Tenku de HANABI fireworks festival

The Tenku de HANABI in Autopolis fireworks festival is scheduled to take place on September 26, 2026, at the Autopolis International Racing Course in Hita City, Oita Prefecture. Located at an altitude of approximately 800 meters, the event is one of the largest fireworks displays in the prefecture, featuring 10,000 fireworks launched into the autumn sky.

Now in its fifth year, the festival is described as a “mountaintop feast” where fireworks are synchronized with music. To enhance the experience, organizers are holding a public call for musical compositions to be used during the display, inviting various famous songs to be integrated with the pyrotechnics.
