Autoprijevoz Sinj enters bankruptcy proceedings

The Split Commercial Court has ordered the opening of bankruptcy proceedings for the transport company Autoprijevoz Sinj due to unpaid obligations to creditors.

Sinj Mayor Miro Bulj stated that citizens should not fear for public transport services, noting that several other carriers have already appeared in the city. Bulj has long criticized the privatization of the company and the management of its owner, Mata Jujnović, accusing the leadership of failing to invest in fleet maintenance and safety, specifically regarding student transport.

Bulj further alleged that profits were diverted to Promet Makarska instead of being used to consolidate Autoprijevoz Sinj. He also announced intentions to claim 17.9 million kuna in guarantees currently held in the Ministry of Finance treasury, which he claims were part of a contract that was never honored.
