Autopsy: Dead Body Can Talk film inspired by Indonesian forensic pathologist
The production house Karya Kreatif Utama has released the Indonesian crime horror mystery film ‘Autopsy: Dead Body Can Talk’. The movie is reportedly based on the real-life career and experiences of Brigjen Pol. Sumy Hastry Purwanti, a prominent forensic pathologist with the Indonesian National Police.
Directed by Ozan Ruz, the film follows a forensic doctor who experiences unexplained visions and messages from murder victims. The plot explores the tension between scientific forensic evidence and supernatural clues as the protagonist investigates a series of disturbing deaths. The production aims to highlight the importance of empathy and the role of forensic science in legal investigations.
The film stars Masayu Anastasia as the lead, alongside Samuel Rizal, Teuku Rifnu Wikana, Ge Pamungkas, and Riyuka Bunga. It is scheduled for a simultaneous theatrical release across Indonesia starting September 3, 2026.
