Autopsy: Dead Body Can Talk film premieres in Indonesia

The psychological thriller film ‘Autopsy: Dead Body Can Talk’ premiered in Indonesian cinemas on September 3, 2026. Directed by Ozan Ruz, the film is inspired by the real-life experiences of Indonesian police forensic doctor Sumy Hastry Purwanti.

The story follows Dr. Hastry as she uses forensic expertise to solve mysterious deaths involving various irregularities. Lead actress Masayu Anastasia portrayed the character of Dr. Hastry, undergoing extensive research including visits to autopsy rooms to learn medical terminology and police procedures to ensure a convincing performance.

The cast includes Samuel Rizal, Teuku Rifnu Wikana, Ge Pamungkas, and Riyuka Bunga. The film explores the scientific process of autopsies alongside the personal intuitions experienced by the protagonist during her investigations.
