AutoZone invests $183 million in new distribution center in León

AutoZone has broken ground on a new $183 million distribution center located at the León-Bajío Industrial Platform (PILBA) in Santa Ana del Conde, Guanajuato. The project covers 194,832 square meters and is designed to strengthen the company’s logistics and supply capacity for the Bajío region and western Mexico.

The expansion is expected to create approximately 600 new jobs, adding to the nearly 500 employees the company already employs in the state of Guanajuato. The facility's strategic location provides access to major industrial corridors and cities such as Querétaro, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, and San Luis Potosí.

During the cornerstone ceremony, attended by León Mayor Ale Gutiérrez and Guanajuato Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, AutoZone Senior Vice President of International Operations Domingo Hurtado highlighted the importance of the region's conditions for the company's investment. The PILBA site offers advanced infrastructure, including a dedicated electrical substation, natural gas supply, and multimodal access points.
