Autumn activities offered for families in Veluwe and Zaanstad

Various autumn activities and programs are being offered for families and children across different regions in the Netherlands.

In the Veluwe region, specifically within the Veluwezoom National Park, families can engage in outdoor activities such as cycling through forest and heathland areas, mountain biking, and hiking. The area offers various amenities, including playgrounds at visitor centers and viewpoints like the Posbank and Elsberg. During early October, visitors may also observe the red deer rutting season.

In Zaanstad, the Zaanse Herfst Experience provides free activities for children aged two and older during the autumn holidays. Organized by Sportbedrijf Zaanstad, the program includes the Mini Experience for toddlers and older children can participate in sessions focused on sports, culture, and lifestyle. These sessions allow children to try activities such as tennis, judo, or dance under the guidance of trainers.
