Autumn fairs draw crowds in Ibiza and Mallorca
Various autumn fairs held across the Balearic Islands saw significant public participation this Sunday, despite the recent seasonal time change.
In Ibiza, the Feria de Stocks took place at the Vara de Rey promenade. Organized by the local City Council in collaboration with the Consell, PIMEEF, and merchant associations, the event allowed local businesses to liquidate stock and increase brand visibility. Participating retailers noted that while online competition remains a challenge for the sector, the fair provides a vital opportunity to connect with the community.
In Mallorca, fairs in Inca, Consell, and Felanitx also reported high attendance. The Fira d’Inca featured the 'Racó dels Oficis,' a space dedicated to traditional Mallorcan crafts, alongside a DIY and creativity salon. Additionally, the III Fira Màgica de les Rondalles featured large-scale sculptures honoring historical figures such as King James I to mark the 750th anniversary of his death.
