Autumn foliage events scheduled in Italy

Various autumn foliage activities are planned for November 8 in different Italian regions.

In Varaita Valley, the Monviso Park is hosting a free photography workshop titled “Obiettivo Foliage.” The guided excursion will take place along the Sentiero dei Sarvanot in Sampeyre, focusing on the beech forests that turn yellow, orange, and red during the season. The event is open to photographers of all levels, from smartphone users to professionals, and requires prior reservation for the 15 available spots.

In Varese, the Associazione Orticola Varesina and Legambiente Varese are organizing a free walk through the historic gardens of Villa Toeplitz. Part of the “CamminaForeste Urbane 2026” program, the walk will be led by an agronomist to explore seasonal transformations and the connection between the villa gardens and the Campo dei Fiori Park. The event is open to the public and includes pets on leashes. In the event of bad weather, the walk will be rescheduled to November 15.
