Autumn gardening tips and seasonal lunar reflections

Gardening expert Szabolcs Megyeri provides guidance on maintaining a lush, green lawn during the autumn season. The optimal time for reseeding is September or mid-October, when soil remains warm and moisture levels are favorable for germination. Key steps include clearing weeds and debris, loosening the soil, and leveling the surface with sand or compost to prevent water pooling.

For successful growth, it is recommended to select drought-resistant and disease-resistant seed mixes tailored to specific garden needs. After sowing, the soil should be lightly raked and rolled, followed by the application of high-phosphorus autumn fertilizer. Daily watering is necessary until the grass reaches a height of 4–5 cm.

In a separate seasonal reflection, the lunar cycle for the second week of September suggests a period of introspection and decluttering. The transition into cooler mornings and shorter evenings serves as a prompt to evaluate personal priorities, identify energy-draining activities, and focus on clarity rather than rapid change.
