Royal Randwick prepares for The Everest and major stakes races

Major horse racing events are set to take place at Royal Randwick, headlined by The Everest and the $5 million King Charles III Stakes.

In The Everest, Ka Ying Rising enters as the world’s highest-rated horse and a $1.50 favourite. Despite concerns regarding a potentially wet track and a wide barrier, the six-year-old aims to extend a winning streak to 22 races. Other notable contenders include Jimmysstar, trained by Ciaron Maher.

The King Charles III Stakes features a high-pressure clash between Autumn Glow and Pride Of Jenni. Trainer Chris Waller expressed confidence that Autumn Glow, the $1.45 favourite, can handle the front-running style of Pride Of Jenni in the small six-horse field.

Additionally, trainer Matt Dale has secured a late entry for Rose Aye in the $2 million Kosciuszko race. The mare will replace Melody Again, who was sidelined by injury, and will be ridden by Jamie Melham.
