Autumn harvest traditions celebrate seasonal pressed juices

Autumn traditions involving freshly pressed fruit juices are being celebrated across various regions. In Bacău, Romania, Urbo Parc Restaurant marked the start of its traditional fresh grape juice season on September 18, 2026. The event, which has been a local tradition for over 30 years, featured seasonal dishes such as mutton pastrami, goulash, and traditional Romanian pastries.

Globally, the harvest season brings diverse pressing traditions. In Normandy, France, producers continue long-standing practices of pressing fragrant, cloudy apple juice. In the Basque Country of Spain, local cider houses maintain deep-rooted customs centered around pressing bitter local apples for sagardoa cider. These seasonal rituals reflect the natural rhythm of fruit ripening, such as apples, pears, and quince, between September and November.
