Autumn harvests underway in Taiki and Nichinan

Various regional autumn harvest activities are underway across Japan. In Taiki, the Hakurin Park Festival was held on September 20, featuring a traditional autumn salmon catching event for children despite rainy weather.

In Nichinan City, chestnut picking experiences have begun at the Kitago Chestnut Orchard. Families from within and outside the prefecture are visiting to harvest the seasonal fruit, which is reportedly growing faster than usual this year.
