Autumn hiking clothing tips for elementary students
As autumn approaches, practical advice is provided for preparing elementary school students for longer hiking trips in nature. Key recommendations focus on comfort and practicality through layered clothing.
For the base layer, cotton or technical shirts are suggested to wick sweat. The middle layer should provide warmth, such as a fleece or cotton sweater, while the outer layer should consist of a windproof and waterproof jacket. Footwear should be broken-in, waterproof, and feature grippy soles, such as hiking boots. For trousers, durable and water-repellent materials are preferred over denim, which is heavy and slow to dry.
