Autumn Tomb announced by members of The Sword and Zombi

Autumn Tomb, a new doom metal trio, has announced the release of its self-titled debut album on November 6 via Spaceflight Records. The project brings together members from the bands Zombi and The Sword.

The lineup features Steve Moore from Zombi, who serves as guitarist, lyricist, vocalist, and synth player, alongside The Sword’s Bryan Richie on bass and Santiago “Jimmy” Vela III on drums. The collaboration stems from a friendship formed during a 2022 West Coast tour.

Moore described the project as an opportunity to explore slow, detuned doom and sludge metal infused with dark synth ambience. The album was recorded at Moore’s Nightmare City studio in Albany, New York, with additional engineering work completed in Taylor, Texas, and Oakland, California. The track “Crumbling Thrones” has been released for streaming.
