Poland weather forecast: Sunny weekend followed by heavy rain and storms

Poland is experiencing significant weather shifts as the season transitions. The weekend begins with relatively pleasant and sunny conditions, particularly in the south and center, with temperatures reaching up to 25°C in some southeastern areas.

However, a major weather breakdown is expected starting Sunday. A cold front and low-pressure systems will bring heavy rain, storms, and strong winds. The Pomeranian region is specifically warned of potential storms and wind gusts reaching 70-80 km/h. Some forecasts indicate extreme rainfall, with up to 70 liters of water per square meter possible in certain areas, raising concerns about hydrological risks.

Following this period of instability, a gradual stabilization is anticipated. Toward the end of September, high-pressure systems are expected to bring more consistent sunshine and warmer, dry weather, characteristic of an extended autumn period.
