Auw Fire Department announces promotions and retirements

The Auw municipal council has announced several personnel changes within the local fire department. Three members have received promotions: Oliver Leu has been appointed Corporal and Group Leader, Philipp Zeder has been promoted to Lieutenant, and Fabian Baumann has been promoted to Lieutenant and Vice Commander.

Additionally, three members are scheduled to leave the service on December 31, 2026, due to the completion of service obligations, relocation, or other reasons. The departing members are Joe Brändli, Beat Merkli, and Jürg Weidmann, with service tenures of 6, 13, and 11 years respectively.

The municipal council and fire command expressed gratitude to the departing members, their families, and local property owners who provide buildings for training exercises.
