Auxxo raises €33.3 million for female-led European startups
Berlin-based venture capital firm Auxxo has announced the final close of its Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund II, raising €33.3 million (approximately $38.2 million). This amount represents a significant increase of over 75% compared to its first fund, which closed at €19 million in 2021.
The sector-agnostic fund targets pre-seed and seed-stage startups across Europe that have at least one female founder holding a minimum of 20% of the founder shares. The current portfolio includes 11 companies operating in diverse fields such as AI, robotics, deep tech, healthcare, space, and climate data.
Key investors include the European Investment Fund as the anchor investor, alongside Aurum Impact, EnBW New Ventures, Cherry Ventures, and Speedinvest, as well as various family offices and business angels. Notably, more than 50% of the fund's limited partners are women.
In addition to the fund closure, Auxxo launched a pan-European Founder Matchmaking Platform. This initiative is designed to connect founders with potential co-founders to assist in building diverse teams and transitioning early-stage ideas into established companies.
