AVA Thermaenius combine harvester historical specifications
Historical records from the Kühnstetter Combine Archive detail the development and technical specifications of combine harvesters produced by AB Arvika-Verken during the 1950s. These machines, which included the AVA Thermaenius BT44, BT45, and BT66 models, as well as the 4Fuss and 6Fuss models, were also distributed under the Viking brand name.
Built on the ‘straight-through’ principle, these harvesters featured threshing drums approximately as wide as the cutter bar. Technical features included cloth conveyors for crop intake, guide drums for improved feeding to the threshing drum, and area shake separators for grain residue separation. Depending on the specific model and customer requirements, these machines could be equipped with grain tanks, pickups, or trailing straw balers.
